Trying to take a perfect portrait is a thankless, no actually; a hopeless endeavour. Why? Because my perfect is not your perfect. Oh, and there’s no ‘perfect’, thank goodness. The end. Geddit?
I’ve been to many different zoos in a number of different locations across the globe but Longleat Safari Park (near the City of Bath in the UK) is by far one of the finest I’ve come across; anywhere.
Now, I’m the first to admit I’m not exactly the fittest person in the world these days. Those of you that know me well appreciate the 20-a-day fag habit has hardly upped my CV efficiency over the years, so when my closest friend suggested a short ten mile jaunt on the mountain bikes following a heavy night on the sauce (whilst camping) I was quite happy to participate. Clear the head, cleanse the soul and all that lovely stuff I thought to myself. Well, I was wrong on all fronts. What followed over the next few hours transpired to be one of the most arse-clenchingly painful and without doubt rewarding rides of my (adult) life.
